Liberals would rather make sex jokes than focus on Obama’s war crimes
Nathan Fuller, editor-in-chief of the Bradley Manning Support Network, is annoyed that David Atkins is more concerned about Rick Santorum sex jokes than bringing to light the Associated Press’ latest investigation into Obama’s drone strikes in Pakistan. The conclusion of the investigation? Despite vehement denials by the White House, many civilians have been killed by Obama’s drone program.
Atkins—a former Democratic Party operative who also writes for Digby’s progressive blog Hullabaloo—responded by implying that opposition to Obama’s policies is akin to supporting the candidacy of a “Mitt Santorum.” Atkins, it must be noted, has largely silent about Obama’s supreme crimes against humanity. And it is not a surprise: Atkins has described his liberalism as interventionist by nature and paternalistic, holding a very cynical view that no one should be trusted to be left to their own devices. For Atkins, Obama’s liberation-by-death-drones is perfectly fine because it is driven by the paternalism of liberalism.
I have addressed liberal hypocrisy in this blog many times before and there comes a certain point when an issue has been addressed multiple times that it becomes redundant to point it out yet again. However, it must be done for the sake of documenting the hypocrisy of these so-called “liberal” bloggers.
